Tom Weadick, pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 901 W. Best in Coeur d’Alene.

Background: Weadick, 36, was ordained in February of 1998. He has not attended seminary, but is currently working toward a master of arts in ministry at Pacific Christian College in California. The nondenominational Vineyard churches do not require a seminary degree for ordination but rather a proven track record in ministry. Prior to his arrival in Idaho, Weadick helped start two Vineyard churches and served as a youth pastor for three years.

He grew up in Coeur d’Alene and received a degree in history from Whitworth College in 1986. He taught social studies and coached baseball at a high school in Colorado for several years before his ministry work began.

Personal: He and his wife, Teresa, have been married nine years and have three children; 4-year-old Joy, 2-year-old Zachary and Joshua, who was born earlier this month.
