Plenum May Change Name

Shareholders of Plenum Communications Inc. will meet July 23 to vote on a plan by its board of directors to change the company name to Lion Inc.

LION, or Lenders Interactive Online Network, has been Plenum’s operating subsidiary.

“Almost everything we do is done as LION, therefore we are merely formalizing what is practiced,” said Chairman Billy Anders.

Lion, meanwhile, will become lioninc.com, the company’s Internet URL. The URL will be changed to LIONlinc if Plenum becomes Lion.

Lion’s new trading symbol, which has been reserved, would become LINC.

LION manages a mortgage database with more than 11,000 lender programs accessible to brokers over the Internet.

The company is based in Mercer Island, Wash., but employs about 25 in Spokane.
