NEW FACES:
Craig Honeycutt has joined Washington Trust Bank as assistant vice president and manager of compensation and benefits. Honeycutt has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and operations. Most recently, he was vice president of human resources for Seattle-based Cinnabon Inc.
Shea Construction Inc. has hired Thomas J. Perko as a project manager. He will manage new commercial construction projects and develop long-term partnerships with owners who want to do negotiated work. For the past 3-1/2 years, Perko has worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina for both Catholic Relief Services and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Most recently, his work focused on reconstructing primary schools damaged during the war. Perko received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.
LineSoft has added the following people to its staff:
Lorie Lee was named marketing communications project manager. She will be responsible for managing trade shows and developing marketing campaigns. Lee was previously an assistant product manager at Avista Utilities, Washington Water Power Division. She graduated from Gonzaga University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
Joy Anderson joined the company as a technical writer. Her duties include writing software user guides and training manuals and creating online help for software products. Anderson, who received a bachelor’s degree in English from Eastern Washington University, previously was a technical writer at Nike in Beaverton, Ore.
Greg Bennett was named director of southeast operations. Bennett, who will be based in Atlanta, will be responsible for providing project management and product support to LineSoft customers located in the southeastern United States. He previously worked for Georgia Power Co. Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University.
Donna Gentry has been hired as an engineer responsible for developing and testing software packages. She previously worked for Itronix and Key Tronic and received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Gonzaga University.
Yukiko Yamamoto has joined the Big Bend Economic Development Council in Moses Lake as a planning associate. She will serve a one-year term under the sponsorship of the International Internship Program of Tokyo. Yamamoto, of Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan, received an economic degree from the Oberin University in Tokyo.
MOVING UP:
Jeffrey Bell has been named a principal in the Gallatin Group’s Spokane office. Bell, who joined the public affairs consulting firm less than two years ago, studied journalism at the University of Oregon and film at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the Gallatin Group, Bell worked for Benscheidt Productions. Earlier, he was North Idaho field director for former Rep. Larry LaRocco for four years.
ELECTED:
Irving B. Reed has been elected chairman of the Spokane Airport Board for the 1999-2000 term. Reed, who was appointed to the board in 1997, previously was vice chairman. He retired from the city of Spokane in 1996 after serving as director of planning and engineering services for 11 years. Other officers of the airport board include James Calderhead, vice chairman, and Richard Atwood, secretary/treasurer.
John T. Mitchell of Coeur d’Alene has been elected treasurer of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association. Lewiston attorney Darrel W. Aherin was elected an Association of Trial Lawyers of America governor.

The Institute of Real Estate Management has presented a Gold Award for Committee of the Year (small category) to the local Accredited Residential Managers Committee. The local group also claimed the Presidential Award, which is given to the top committee in all size categories. Kim Algeier, Peggy Newcombe and Bette Fears accepted the awards for the local ARM committee. The local IREM chapter was represented by Kevin McCathren, who accepted the Silver Award for small chapters across the nation.

Bob Ziegler of Ellensburg and John White of Wenatchee are Golden Triangle Award winners, having attained Legion of Honor status 15 out of the last 18 years.
Bruce Snyder of Moses Lake has been named to the company’s Silver Scroll, achieving Legion of Honor merits 10 of the last 12 years.
Wenatchee agent Linda Sasseen and Tim Gates of Moses Lake have earned the Bronze Tablet Award, for Legion of Honor performance in five of six consecutive years.
