Idaho Top Scholar Program Names Honorees

More than 1,600 of the top 10 percent of Idaho’s high school juniors will be honored as Idaho Top Scholars by the University of Idaho Alumni Association this month.

The Idaho Top Scholar program, established in 1994, recognizes outstanding academic achievements of Idaho high school juniors. The program has expanded from recognizing students in nine events to 26 this spring and is jointly sponsored by U.S. Bank, which has contributed $100,000 in the last three years, and the UI Alumni Association.

North Idaho student honorees are listed by their schools.

Bonners Ferry High School: Brett Affleck-Aring, Melissa Albano, Lisa Ashby, Breanna Booth, Allan Day, Katie Frederickson, Michelle Gau, Kayla Howlett, Paula Liermann, Laura Mesenbrink, Sandy Short and Dean Stonehocker.

Clark Fork High School: Heather McDaniel and Jamie Saunders.
