Cda High Has Two Finalists
Coeur d’Alene High has two teams up for North Idaho Male Team of the Year honors at the Idaho Sports Banquet.
The Vikings’ golf and basketball teams are up against fellow 1998 state champions Moscow golf, Deary football and Grangeville track.
The banquet is March 20 at the Coeur d’Alene Inn. Tickets are $23 for adults, $9 for students and can be purchased at Les Schwab Tire Centers throughout North Idaho. Gov. Dirk Kempthorne will be the featured speaker.

Goodman honored
North Idaho College sophomore forward Johnny Goodman was named to the All-Region 18 first team. Goodman received the third most votes, which means he’ll be nominated for All-NJCAA honors.
Goodman averaged 20.8 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Other first-team members were Snow’s Trent Whiting, Treasure Valley’s Brandon Burney, Eastern Utah’s Hayden Prescott, Utah Valley’s Danny Brotherson and Dixie’s Maurice Baker.
Snow’s Jon Judkins was coach of the year.
No Cardinals made the second team or honorable mention.
NIC sophomore guard Becki Huddle was selected to the women’s second team and sophomore guard Mandy Lindhe was named honorable mention.
Dixie’s David LaVetter was coach of the year.
