Ferris Jazz Ensemble Wins Trophy

Ferris High School made history at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival this month.

For the first time ever, the school’s jazz ensemble won a trophy at the Moscow, Idaho, event.

The group earned first runner-up honors in the 4-A division.

The Ferris jazz choir, Camerata, also took first runner-up in its division.

A father-son duo directs the two groups.

Dad Paul Brueggemeier is director of Camerata, and Ben Brueggemeier directs the jazz band.
