Outdoor recreation and conservation events are in full swing this month. Among them:

The Spokane Fly Fishers are holding their annual conservation fund-raiser this week to support their many fisheries conservation projects.

The event begins Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., with previewing of raffle items at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council building, 6116 N. Market.

This is a worthwhile place to pay for treats ranging from guided float trips and gourmet dinners to fly-fishing gear.

Outdoor Fair, with guidebook authors on hand 3-5 p.m. on March 20 to give personal early season trip planning tips for hikers, bicyclists, canoeists and nature enthusiasts at Hastings Books, 7706 N. Division.
