Gayle Schermerhorn Spokane
Funeral for Gayle E. Schermerhorn, 54, will be at 1 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Schermerhorn, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.
She graduated from Rogers High School and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Michael Schermerhorn of Portland; a daughter, Cristine Cressler of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Keith Shoff, and two sisters, Cheryl Luchini and Linda Wiedrick, all of Spokane; and one grandson.

Louise Kloss Spokane
Graveside service for Louise P. Kloss, 96, was Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Mrs. Kloss, who died Thursday, was born in Hamburg, Germany.
She was raised in Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School before receiving her teaching certificate from Cheney Normal School. In 1951 she received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
Mrs. Kloss taught in a one-room school house at Blue Creek in Stevens County, Wash., and later taught in Avery, Idaho, Chester, Mont., and Missoula, and in Seattle, until she retired in 1967.
She had been a resident at Hawthorne Manor for the past six years.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Johnson of Pasco; two nieces, Louise Tollefson and Christine Johnson, and a nephew, Harold Lovlien, all of Spokane; six great-nieces, nine great-nephews, and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.

Jean Howlett Spokane
Funeral for Jean H. Howlett, 79, was Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial was at Riverside Memorial Park.
Born in Spokane, Mrs. Howlett died March 4.
She attended Emerson and Jefferson elementary schools before graduating from Lewis and Clark High School in 1937.
Mrs. Howlett attended Spokane Junior College in 1939 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Washington State College in 1941. She received a master’s degree from Azusa (Calif.) Pacific College in 1977. Other higher education institutions she attended included the Washington State University Art Seminar in Europe and the University of Washington.
Mrs. Howlett taught elementary school in Washington and California from 1941 until 1986. She also taught at Stevenson, Hamilton, Grant and Comstock elementary schools in Spokane.
She is survived by a nephew, Robert Howlett of Alaska.
Cora `Coco’ Lundstrom Spokane
Memorial service for Cora S. “Coco” Lundstrom, 89, was Saturday at Pines Cemetery Mausoleum. A longtime Spokane resident, Mrs. Lundstrom died Tuesday. She was born in Camden, Wash.
She worked at Galena Air Depot in the early 1940s, where she was one of the only people small enough to climb into the wings to do repair work.
Mrs. Lundstrom later worked for the Regal Becker car dealership, Libby Photographers and Western Union.
In the 1940s and 1950s she sang with the Ladies Moose Glee Club and performed on their drill team.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lannus Williams and Stanley Lundstrom.
Survivors include a daughter, Dona Ringquist; a sister, Marjorie Duclos; a brother, Don Lundstrom; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
