Elden Felgenhauer Spokane
Memorial service for Elden Felgenhauer, a lifelong Spokane County resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at Fairfield Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will precede at 1 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Felgenhauer, 86, died Friday in Spokane.
A fourth-generation farmer, he was a descendant of pioneer Spokane County farming families through both his father and mother.
He was born on his parents’ farm west of Waverly, and at age four he moved with his family to Rattlers Run, three miles northwest of Fairfield. He attended the one-room Kegley School, named after his grandparents, and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1928.
He then attended Washington State College for one year before returning to Rattlers Run. He farmed there until his retirement in 1984. Because of failing health, he moved to Spokane in 1996.
Mr. Felgenhauer, former chairman of the Washington Pea and Lentil Commission, was named a Latah-Rock Creek Conservation Farmer of the Year in 1954. He was a past president of the Spokane County Association of Wheat Growers and a former member of the Fairfield School District Board.
Past master of the Fairfield Masonic Lodge, he most recently was a member of Waverly Masonic Lodge 231. He also was a member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church, Triangle Grange 927, Victory Chapter 161 of the Order of Eastern Star, and the Southeast Spokane County Historical Society. A life member of the Rockford Gun Club, he also was a member of the Washington Association of Wheat Growers and the Masonic National Camping Travelers club. He had been active in Boy Scouting.
He married Elizabeth Klessig in 1938.
Avid travelers, Mr. Felgenhauer and his wife toured parts of Asia, Europe, Australia, South America and Africa. In 1963 their travels took them to countries including Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Burma, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Karl Felgenhauer of Fairfield, and Donald and Neil Felgenhauer, both of Spokane; a brother, Jack Felgenhauer of Spokane; a sister, Lois Watson of Lancaster, Calif.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Rueben Fink Spokane
Funeral for Reuben T. Fink, 88, will be at 2 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse.
Mr. Fink, who was born in Anderson, Mo., died Saturday, He moved with his family to Albion, Wash., where he completed his schooling.
In 1959 he married Jewel Hightower, and they moved to Palouse, where he worked as a grader operator for the Whitman County Road Department. He retired in 1972 after 30 years of service.
He lived in Soap Lake, Wash., from 1973 until 1980. He returned to Palouse and then moved to Spokane in 1993.
Mr. Fink was a 28-year member of the Palouse Grange and a charter member of the Eagles Lodge in Palouse.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joann Hedge of Coeur d’Alene; a sister, Lorene Dill of Spokane; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Agnes Griswold Spokane
Visitation for Agnes Marie Griswold, 78, will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
A 40-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Griswold died Saturday. She was born in Logan, Mont.
She was a self-employed bookkeeper and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a nephew; two nieces; and several stepchildren and stepgrandchildren.
Jerry Burris Spokane
Funeral for Jerry E. Burris, 64, will be at 10 a.m. today at Unity Church of Truth. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Kettle Falls (Wash.) Cemetery.
A 40-year Spokane resident, Mr. Burris died Thursday. He was born in Colville, Wash.
Mr. Burris owned a service station for several years.
He was active with Alcoholics Anonymous, serving as a sponsor for eight years, and was affiliated with the Alano Club for 29 years. He also was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Robert Burris of Libby, Mont.; two daughters, Penny Haffner and Robin Fuerte, both of Spokane; two brothers, Dick and Stan Burris, both of Spokane; and six grandchildren.

Millie Abrahamson Ford, Wash.
Funeral for Millie Wynne Abrahamson, 90, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Ford. Burial will be at the Hubert Cemetery in Ford.
Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
A longtime Ford resident, Mrs. Abrahamson died Saturday. She was born in Wellpinit, Wash.
Mrs. Abrahamson was a member of the Spokane Tribe and St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Ford. She donated the land that church is built on.
Her husband, Milo, preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Tom Abrahamson of Spokane, Irvin Abrahamson of Plummer, Idaho, James Abrahamson of Keller, Wash., and Melvin Abrahamson of Ford; three daughters, Delores Smallwood of Spokane, Philonese Covington of Elmer City, Wash., and Linda Abrahamson of Ford; three sisters, Marjorie Hertlein of Scottsdale, Ariz., Susie Raymond and Nancy Williams, both of Chewelah; 25 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth McCoy Ione, Wash.
Funeral for Elizabeth McCoy, 82, will be at 2 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.
Mrs. McCoy, who died Thursday, was born in Huron, Kan.
She moved to the Spokane area in 1951 and was a homemaker.
Mrs. McCoy lived in Greenacres for 40 years before moving to Ione six years ago.
Her first husband, William Hartley, died in 1948. Her second husband, Willis McCoy, died in 1981.
Survivors include three sons, William and Gerald Hartley, both of Otis Orchards, and Dale McCoy of Spokane; a daughter, Linda Eaton of Torrington, Wyo.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Cecil Topp Clark Fork, Idaho
Service for Cecil Topp, 69, will be at 1 p.m. today at Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Sandpoint.
Mr. Topp, who was born in Sydney, Mont., died Friday.
He moved to Sandpoint in 1936. He had worked as a logger and heavy equipment operator, and gained the experience to start his own business. Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sons, Larry Topp of Newport, Wash., Richard Topp of Coeur d’Alene and John Topp of Kootenai, Idaho; his mother, Hazel Topp of Plains, Mont.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Rita Bahm Spokane
Memorial service for Rita E. Bahm, 84, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home.
A 17-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Bahm died Saturday.
She was born in New Haven, Conn.
Mrs. Bahm was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Readicker of Spokane; a son, Peter Bahm of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Joseph Bolognese of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
Virginia Meyer Colville, Wash.
Memorial service for Virginia C. “Ginger” Meyer, 62, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Colville United Methodist Church. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Meyer, who was born in Anaconda, Mont., died March 10.
She attended schools in Chewelah, marrying Kenneth Meyer in 1954.
They lived in Chewelah for a year before moving to Lacrosse, Wash., where they lived for 10 years.
In 1964 they returned to Chewelah, where they lived until moving to Colville in 1974.
Mrs. Meyer was a homemaker and a member of the Colville United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6963 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Denise Mueller of Spokane and Dorothy Beardslee of Orient, Wash.; two sons, David and Dennis Meyer, both of Colville; two sisters, Maxine Gibson of Marion, Ohio, and Dorothy Ledbetter of Colfax, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.

Calvin Kreid Onaway, Idaho
Memorial service for Calvin F. Kreid, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Potlatch (Idaho) Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be at Freeze Cemetery near Potlatch. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kreid, who was born in Fallon, Mont., died Saturday.
His family moved to the Potlatch area, and later settled in Onaway. In 1943 he graduated from Potlatch High School, where he was a member of the basketball team.
Mr. Kreid joined the Navy, training at Farragut Naval Training Center in Idaho. He served as an electrician’s mate, second class, aboard the destroyer USS Laws during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
After his discharge in 1946, he married Bonnie White and returned to Potlatch and began working for Potlatch Forests.
Mr. Kreid worked at a lumber mill in Potlatch where he was head of the electric shop for many years. When the mill closed, he continued to serve as a watchman for many months.
He and his wife then operated a service station in Princeton, Idaho, and the old confectionery store in Potlatch for several years. They moved to Onaway in the late 1970s.
His wife died in 1980.
In 1982 he married Elizabeth Doty. They were later divorced.
Mr. Kreid was a member of Potlatch Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for six years. He was also a member of the Potlatch Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10300, Potlatch Fire and Ambulance crews, Potlatch City Council, the Onaway Water and Sewer Association and served as a member and on the board of directors for the Potlatch Senior Citizens.
He also drove old fire trucks in the Potlatch Days Parade and spent several years restoring a 1929 Model A Coupe, which he finished in the early 1990s. He later restored three more Model A’s, which he also drove in the parade.
Survivors include a son, Calvin Kreid of Potlatch; two daughters, Judy Palmer of Potlatch and Carol Jackson of Post Falls; a brother, Donald Kreid of Potlatch; two sisters, Naoma Gambetty of Potlatch and Darlene Brantner of Palouse; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lillian Kinnier Petersen Lewiston
Viewing for Lillian V. Kinnier Petersen, 89, will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho. Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Moscow Cemetery.
Mrs. Petersen, who was born near Moscow, died Sunday.
She graduated from Moscow High School and attended a year of nurse’s training at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.
She and her husband lived in the Moscow area and then bought a farm in the Lenville/Aspendale area near Moscow in 1942, before purchasing a second home on Priest Lake in 1945.
They retired from farming in 1968 and bought a home in California in 1971. For 20 years they lived for six months out of the year in California and rest of the year on Priest Lake. In 1991 they moved to Lewiston.
She was a charter member of the Aspendale Community Association.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Wesley; a son, Bernard Petersen of Genesee, Idaho; two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

Sophea Bravakis Spokane
Visitation for Sophea H. Bravakis, 78, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Bravakis died Saturday.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and attended Cornish Performing Arts College.
Mrs. Bravakis was a homemaker and was active for 20 years with the Sacred Heart Service League, for which she had served as president. She also was a senior volunteer for the Spokane Police Department.
She was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Ted; a son, John Bravakis of Los Angeles; a daughter, Teddie Gibbon of Spokane; and one granddaughter.

Margaret Ferguson Spokane

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Ferguson died Saturday.
She graduated from Hillyard High School and was a homemaker.
Her husband, Frank, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Florence Wisdom, Linda Konshuk and Charlene Aleman; five sons, Pete, Frank, George and Dan Ferguson, and Jim Bown, all of Spokane; a sister, C.O. Blankenship of Spokane; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Richard Senter Spokane
Visitation for Richard C. Senter, 80, will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.
A 57-year Spokane resident, Mr. Senter died Saturday. He was born in Mohler, Idaho.
Mr. Senter worked as a carpenter at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood for 34 years. He retired in 1981.
He was a member of the Spokane Valley Elks Lodge 2328, Moose Lodge 161 and Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge 3433, where he was known as Mr. Fixit.
His first wife, Thelma, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of eight years, Ione Simpson Senter; two daughters, Judy Pollock of Pittsview, Alaska, and Patti Tabish of the Spokane Valley; a stepdaughter, Terry Willingham, and a stepson, Alan Simpson, both of the Spokane Valley; a sister, Pearl Adams of Lewiston; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Barbara Ludberg Spokane
Memorial service for Barbara D. Ludberg, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Coeur d’Alene Community United Methodist Church. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane area resident, Mrs. Ludberg died Thursday. She was born in Dayton, Wash.
In 1973 she married Clyde Ludberg. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Deaconess Hospital and various Catholic schools for many years. She also was a member of the Ladies Kiwanis.
Her husband died in 1973.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Hughett of Coeur d’Alene and Barbara Lorenz of Boulder City, Nev.; a son, Clyde Ludberg Jr., of Spokane; three sisters, Virginia Sayres, Lucille Sayres of Spokane and Wilma Johnson of Coeur d’Alene; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Irene Brining Spokane

A Spokane resident since 1977, Mrs. Brining died Friday. She was born in Philadelphia.
She was a homemaker and a member of Minnehaha Covenant Church.

Ellie Reed Ritzville, Wash.

Mrs. Reed, who was born in Florida, died Friday.
She moved to Ritzville in 1954 from Spokane.
She was a self-employed junk dealer.
While living in Spokane, Mrs. Reed was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Daisy Pierce of Connecticut; a stepdaughter, Minnie Miller of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Paula (Roestel) Starr Spokane
Funeral for Paula Mae (Roestel) Starr, 70, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Mountain View Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Starr, who was born in Spokane, died March 10.
She graduated from Rogers High School, where she was head majorette.
Mrs. Starr was a professional dancer and was a tap, ballet, acrobatics and roller skating instructor. She worked as a clerk typist for the State of Washington from 1975 until she retired in 1993.
She was a member of Mountain View Assembly of God Church, where she was involved with Bible studies and Fountain Ministries. She also was involved with the music fellowship, Gospel Oprey and many prayer chains.
Survivors include a daughter, Terry Dixon of Salida, Colo.; two sisters, Elvina Munk of Spokane and Elaine Munson of West Richland, Wash.; a brother, George Roestel of Spokane; and five grandchildren.

Gladys Wilcox Spokane
Visitation for Gladys Wilcox, 83, will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the Pacific Lutheran Section at Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park in Seattle.
Mrs. Wilcox, who was born in Spokane, died March 10.
She attended Grant Elementary School before graduating from Lewis and Clark High School. She received a degree in education from the University of Washington.
Mrs. Wilcox taught high school English in Seattle for 20 years before returning to Spokane in 1952. She then worked as a reading tutor for 15 years.
She was a member of the American Association of University Women, was co-founder of Compassionate Friends for Bereaved Parents, and was active with the Parent Teacher Association at Wilson Elementary and Sacajawea Junior High.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, in 1979, and her son, Ronald Dale Wilcox, in 1969.
Survivors include her aunt, Gunhild Foerster of Seattle and a cousin, Marilyn Carlson of Edmonds, Wash.
