Cops Raise $5,883 For Special Olympics

North Idaho police officers raised nearly $6,000 for the Special Olympics last weekend by serving meals at a local seafood restaurant.

The Cops and Lobsters fund-raiser, featuring area officers working as waiters, was Friday through Sunday at Red Lobster. Tips the officers received were donated to the Special Olympics to help support its summer games.

Officers earned $5,883 serving lunch and dinner.
