Learning Center To Open Downtown

The Downtown Learning Center will open today as part of an initiative to improve Spokane’s work force education.

Developed by the Spokane Chamber of Commerce, the Center is located at the Eastern Washington University Spokane Center at 705 W. First Ave.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. today, featuring Tom Som, general manager of Boeing Spokane and co-chair of the Chamber’s Workforce Education Development Council, and Dr. Steve Jordan, president of Eastern Washington University.
