Nic Splits With Wenatchee

Scott Moglia erupted with three hits and drove in five runs Tuesday as North Idaho College rompted to a 15-0 victory that earned it a non-league baseball doubleheader split with Wenatchee Valley College.

Wenatchee Valley scored all of its runs in the fourth inning, aided by three walks and a hit batter, to win the first game 6-1.

Although all of Moglia’s hits were singles, he knocked in one-third of the runs in the nightcap as the Cardinals moved their record to 10-16.

NIC scored five runs in the first two innings, helping four pitchers - Adam Fritz, Ryan Banks, Ken Torgeson and Mark Scates - coast to a four-hit shutout.
