Treasure Valley Schools Win Honor

The Idaho Education Association has recognized schools in the Treasure Valley for their efforts to improve public education.

Idaho Education Association President Robin Nettinga presented the A+ Excellence in Education Awards on Thursday to some of the schools.

Schools were chosen based on their ability to provide a safe environment, parental involvement and other improvements that benefit students.

In the Boise School District, Monroe Elementary and Trail Wind Elementary were recognized. In the Caldwell School District, Van Buren Elementary was recognized and Indian Creek was recognized in the Kuna School District.

In the Meridian School District, Cecil D. Andrus Elementary, Chaparral Elementary, Lake Hazel Elementary and Pioneer Elementary were recognized. In the Nampa School District, Sunny Ridge Elementary and Parkridge Elementary were recognized.
