New faces:
North by Northwest productions has hired the following people:
Doug Barry was named general manager of the film and video production company. His responsibilities include managing day to-day operations of the firm’s Spokane facility, employee recruitment and hiring and assisting with development and implementation of the company’s marketing plan. Barry previously was general manager of White House Studios and Northwest Video Works, both in Portland. He has 29 years of media experience, including 12 years of production facility management, eight years producing and directing for television and video and nine years as a radio personality and broadcast journalist.
Anne Richards joined North by Northwest as production assistant at the firm’s Spokane facility. She is responsible for assisting producers, clients and crew on location shoots, assistant video editing and duplication. Richards earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast studies from Gonzaga University last December.
Plummer, Idaho-based Pacific Northwest Fiber has named the following people to its executive team:
Paul Dashiell was named president of the new straw-based fiberboard company. A bluegrass seed and wheat grower in the Rockford-Worley area, Dashiell has been a pioneer in “no-till” farming for more than 20 years. He is a director of Tekoa, Wash.-based Seeds Inc., a processor of Kentucky bluegrass seed and one of Pacific Northwest Fiber’s partners, along with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and Prairie Forest Products.
Dave Bauermeister was appointed general manager. He formerly worked for Seeds Inc. and earlier was assistant manager of NW Pea and Bean Co. in Spokane. Bauermeister, who received a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Washington State University, is a past president of Spokane Ag Expo.
Rob McWilliams has joined Jones & Mitchell Insurance Brokers as vice president and account executive. McWilliams has nine years of experience in the Spokane area managing business insurance programs.
The following people have joined the staff of Global Credit Union:
Toya Denise Carter was named a member service representative at the credit union’s Vicenza, Italy, branch.
Anne McKinney was hired as a call center representative at the main office in downtown Spokane. McKinney has 23 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently at Inland Northwest Bank.
Rebecca Hooper joined Global Credit Union as a member services representative at Global’s North Spokane branch. Hooper, who recently completed teller training at Spokane Community College, is new to the financial industry.
Ross Granier was hired as a real estate loan officer at Global’s Coeur d’Alene Real Estate Loan Center. Granier, who has been in the real estate industry for about one year, previously worked for American General Finance.
Stacy Powell joined the company as a call center representative at Global’s main office in downtown Spokane. Powell previously worked for Barnes & Noble.
Kelli Hart has joined the call center staff at the credit union’s main office downtown.
Shelby Stanton has joined the real estate loan department at Global’s main office downtown. Stanton has worked in the real estate lending industry for 12 years.
Nicole Bogarash was hired as a member service representative at the credit union’s North Spokane branch.
Moving up:
Washington Trust Bank has promoted Debbie Green to vice president, business banking officer III. Green, who joined the bank in 1997, specializes in serving Washington Trust’s North Idaho commercial customers. She has nearly 21 years of banking experience.
Farm Credit Services has promoted the following employees:
Clay Morscheck was named vice president-information services. His responsibilities include all information systems related to client/server, midrange, mainframe and telecommunications. Morscheck, who received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Idaho, joined Farm Credit Services in 1994 as network manager and most recently was director-information services. Prior to joining Farm Credit Services, Morscheck was a lead systems programmer for the Farm Credit Bank of Spokane, where he worked from 1986 to 1994.
Judy Janzen was promoted to systems analyst. She is responsible for enterprise management, mainframe security and Windows NT support. Janzen joined Farm Credit Services in 1985 as a technical writer and has since served as a senior technical writer, a senior office automation specialist and a network analyst. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University.
John Sutherland has been appointed publications manager for the Washington State University Office of University Publications and Printing/ WSU Press. He succeeds Managing Editor Jan Gantz, who is resigning after 15 years with WSU. Sutherland has 18 years of experience in university publications development and production. He has worked as publications coordinator at the Office of University Publications and Printing since 1991. A Seattle University graduate, he was formerly director of publications at the University of San Diego.

Jerry R. Linehan, credit manager of the McGregor Co., has been elected chairman of the board of the National Association of Credit Management Inland Northwest. Other officers include: first vice chairman, Connie Barratt, Broadway Group; second vice chairman, Chuck Zahara, Washington Trust Bank; and immediate past chairman and counselor, Cathy Dixon, Dupree Building Specialties.
