Lockheed, Airbus In Talks

Lockheed Martin Corp. confirmed Monday that it has been holding periodic talks with European aerospace companies, exploring possible partnerships.

The Seattle Times reported Sunday, citing senior industry officials, that executives from Airbus Industrie and Lockheed Martin have been talking about an alliance, including the possibility of a Lockheed partnership in Airbus’ proposed superjet, the A-3XX, or that Lockheed would join in a military transport plane Airbus has been planning.
