Art School Offers Classes

The Spokane Art School is holding a Classic European Carving class with Nora Hall, a Dutch woodcarver, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through May 23. The cost for the class is $150 for three days or $100 for Saturday and Sunday only.

The class is being held at the Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard. For more information or to register call, 328-0900.

Men and women ages 15 and up are needed to play several roles in the upcoming Spokane Theatrical Group presentation “Big River.”

Auditions will be held at 5 p.m. May 23 and at 8 p.m. May 24 at the Ballet Arts Academy, 408sfr1/2 W. Sprague.

A song no longer than one minute and not from the production is needed. No a cappella; accompaniment will be provided. Be prepared to dance.

The production dates are set for July 23-25, and July 29-Aug. 1.
