Art Around The Clock

Francois Crannell, with her sleeping 2-year-old daughter in tow, takes a close look at a Vincent van Gogh painting at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. This past weekend, the museum became the first in the nation to open a major exhibit around the clock. Seventy van Gogh masterpieces on loan from the van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, have been on display since January, and it was the final weekend for the show. So museum officials opened the doors from 9 a.m. Friday to midnight Sunday - 63 continuous hours. Those who attended between midnight and 7 a.m. were admitted for half price ($10).
