Betty Weber Moscow, Idaho

Service for Betty J. Weber, 75, will be today at 10 a.m. at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow.

Mrs. Weber, who was born in Sweetwater, Idaho, died Friday.

She graduated from Moscow High School in 1941 and married Lawrence Weber later that year.

Mrs. Weber lived in the Moscow area and farmed for many years, and built Moscow Mini Storage in 1972 on the Troy Highway.

She operated her business until 1990 and was a member of the Moscow Moose and Elks lodges. She moved to Latah Health Services in Moscow in 1994.

Her husband died in 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Weber Jr. of Lenore, Idaho, and Steven Weber of Viola, Idaho; a sister, Mildred Betts of Chehalis, Wash.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

James Riggs Jr. Hayden Lake, Idaho

Service for James E. Riggs Jr., 68, will be today at 2 p.m. at the Dalton Gardens Church of Christ. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Riggs, who was born in Hardin, Mont., died Thursday.

He lived in Wyoming before settling in the Hayden Lake area in 1937 and had worked in the parts department at Knudtsen Chevrolet for 15 years before retiring in 1995.

Mr. Riggs was a member of the Dalton Gardens Church of Christ and was an honorary member of the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Posse.

He was past master of Kootenai County Masonic Lodge No. 24 AF & AM and served as past district deputy of the Grand Lodge. He was a member of the Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Debbie Yanzick of Cataldo, Idaho; a sister, Eileen Clare of Spokane; a brother, Robert Riggs of Post Falls; and one grandson, Garrett.

Ida Johnson Spokane

Memorial service for Ida M. Johnson, 82, will be held in Wallace at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Sunset, Idaho, died Tuesday.

She graduated from Wallace High School in 1934 and from Spokane Beauty School in 1935.

Mrs. Johnson worked as a beautician until 1937, when she married Louis Johnson and became a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1972.

Mrs. Johnson lived in the Silver Valley until 1998, when she moved to Spokane.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Bower of Spokane and Susan Fly of Seattle; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a grand niece, Mary Duval of Hayden, Idaho.
