Teens Held After Windows Smashed

From Staff Reports

Spokane police arrested two teenage boys Sunday for smashing windows at Sacajawea Middle School, 401 E. 33rd Ave.

Authorities responded to an alarm at 2:15 a.m. and spotted two boys, ages 14 and 15, running from the area. Both suspects were armed with kitchen knives.

Six large school windows were broken, police said in a statement. The boys told police that they were bored and “wanted some excitement.”

The boys were booked into Juvenile Detention on second degree malicious mischief.
