Lakeland Wins

Mike Banks allowed Lakeland to cash in during the second day of the State A-2 baseball tournament.

Banks (8-0) struck out eight in Lakeland’s 5-2 win over Bear Lake in Friday’s consolation round.

The Hawks (21-7) advance to this morning’s game against Sugar Salem (21-8), which eliminated Orofino on Friday. Bear Lake’s season ended at 17-5.

Lakeland’s Taylor Skidmore had a two-run single in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
