Bicycle Rodeo Teaches Safety

Sandpoint firefighters, police officers and many volunteers are teaching bicycle and public safety in a bicycle rodeo June 12 at Sandpoint City Hall parking lot.

Seven stations for teaching safe biking skills will be set up in the parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children and adults.

More than 100 bicycle helmets will be given away, although a $5 donation to North Idaho Pathways is requested. North Idaho Pathways will also provide food concessions as a fund-raiser for local projects.

Sponsors include Bonner General Hospital, QualMed Health Plan, Bonner County Physicians, City of Sandpoint, Alpine Designs and North Idaho Pathways.
