Stab Victims Both Released From Hospital

Police believe the man who stabbed two Pullman women while they were sleeping early Tuesday was known by one of the victims.

After talking with witnesses and interviewing the women again, police have identified a “person of interest” in the attack.

“People were concerned about their safety,” said Sgt. Jim Corcoran, adding that the person being sought “is not around Pullman.”

The victims, Ann Do and ThuyNga Duong, both seniors at Washington State University, were treated for multiple stab wounds and released from Pullman Memorial Hospital on Wednesday.

An intruder slipped into their Valley Road apartment and attacked them with a pair of 8-inch knives shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday

Before collapsing in the parking lot, one of the women managed to call police on a cordless phone.

Police said they plan to issue an arrest warrant for an Asian man about 5 feet tall and weighing 110 pounds to 120 pounds.
