Centennial Trail
Celebration Runners, walkers, bikers, skaters and equestrians will be flocking to the Centennial Trail next Saturday for a full morning of exercise, fun and even a little friendly competition.
The Friends of the Centennial Trail will scatter events from Riverside State Park to the Idaho state line during the 7th annual Spokane River Centennial Trail Celebration.
Events are as follows:
Kids’ run, 8:30 a.m., one mile, from Valley Mall near Sullivan Road.
Adult run/walk, 9 a.m., 5 miles, from Valley Mall near Sullivan Road.
Family bicycle ride, 9 a.m., 7 miles, from Valley Mall near Sullivan Road.
Intermediate bike ride, 9 a.m., 18 miles, from Military Cemetery in Riverside State Park.
Horse ride, 9 a.m., from Trail Town Stables area.
In-line skating, 10 a.m., “poker skate” from Fitness Fanatics to Barker Road. (Info: 922-6080).
Nature walk, 11 a.m., from Bowl and Pitcher area in Riverside State Park.
Late entry fees, which include t-shirts, are $13 for kids, $20 for adults. Info: 624-7188.
