Seminar On Heating/Cooling Planned

If you’re worried about high heating bills this winter, plan to attend a session on “Heating/Cooling Conservation and Safety” on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Spokane County Extension Education Center, 222 N. Havana. Topics included in the discussion are how to choose a new heating systems, windows and window coverings, sealing up your house, ventilation and insulation. The featured speaker is David Hales, Building Science and Energy Specialist for the Washington State University Cooperative Extension Energy Program.

The program is the third in a series of monthly programs called “It’s Easy Being Green: Programs for Healthy Homes and a Healthy Environment.” The programs are sponsored by WSU and The Green Zone.

The seminar is free and open to the public. Advance registration is requested and can be completed by calling 477-2048.
