Cusick Falls After Hot Start

B-8 state playoffs

The Cusick Panthers had the Colton Wildcats right where they wanted them after the first 2 minutes of their B-8 playoff matchup at Riverside High School on Friday night - then the roof caved in.

Cusick opened the game by recovering its own onside kick.

Three plays and 50 yards later the Panthers were up 6-0.

Forty-six minutes later Cusick was on the short end of a 50-6 score.

Sean Shaffer’s 5-yard touchdown run tied the game at the end of the first quarter. Colton added three second-quarter touchdowns and the rout was on.
