Manuel A. and Betty R. (Garner) Rivera will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner Dec. 31 at Old Country Buffet in the Spokane Valley.

Hosts for the event will be his sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Gary Klawitter, Veradale.

Their children are: Bernadette Marsters, Doyle, Calif.; and Tamie Kindrick, and Pamela Pluff, both of Portola, Calif.

The Riveras were married Dec. 31, 1949, in Sanford, N.C. They have seven grandchildren.
