Snowmobile Proposal Opens More Roads

Snowmobilers may have more roads to ride on in the Priest Lake area if Bonner County commissioners approve a proposed pilot program.

Commissioners are to decide Dec.2 whether to add a dozen or more roads to a list of those open to snowmobilers in the Priest Lake area. The proposal came from the Priest Lake Groomers Association.

Last year, snowmobilers complained to commissioners of heavy-handed enforcement at Priest Lake. The pilot program would allow cars and snowmobiles to share some roads that connect snowmobile trails in the area.
