Carla Pierson Kellogg
Memorial service for Carla Irene Pierson, 92, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Care and Rehab in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pierson, who was born in Lunds Valley, N.D., died Tuesday.
She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1936 and to Kellogg in 1985.
Mrs. Pierson worked as a cook for 32 years for restaurants in the Coeur d’Alene area.
She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and the Eagles Lodge, both in Coeur d’Alene.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edwin Hendrickson and Hilding Pierson.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce McClain of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Avis Ewart of Gastonia, N.C.; three sisters, Annie Walker of Post Falls, Alice Muller of Lynnwood, Wash., and Helen Froundfelter of Mount Lake Terrace, Wash.; a brother, Vernon Moen of Powers Lake, N.D.; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Julian Hudson Spokane
Service for Julian D. Hudson, 32, will be at 1 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Reception will be at 3 p.m. at the Full Gospel Mission. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Hudson died Nov. 19 from injuries suffered in a pedestrian accident.
He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1985.
Mr. Hudson worked as a cook in various restaurants in Spokane.
Survivors include a son, Patrick Hudson of Spokane; his father, Dewey Hudson Sr. of Spokane; eight brothers, Dewey Jr., Ritchie, Dale, William, Van, Hugh, Floyd and Fidel Hudson, all of Spokane; and six sisters, Wendla Allen, Teresa, Diane and Anna Hudson, Hope Cawthorne and Paula Maxie, all of Spokane.
Arley Swain Chattaroy
Service for Arley Joseph Swain, 57, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash. Burial will follow at the Newport Cemetery.
A longtime Chattaroy resident, Mr. Swain died Sunday. He was born in Newport.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Swain worked as a steel prefab contractor in the construction industry.
Survivors include a daughter, Haley Swain; his parents, Orville and Sarah Swain; four brothers, Bill, David, Richard and Larry Swain; two stepbrothers, Sam Campbell and Bill Howell; and four stepsisters, Cathy Brinn, Lu Ann Glasser, Wendy Heggel and Bev Sonnenberg.
Mable Hart Coeur d’Alene
Visitation for Mable Hart, 81, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, both at Yates Funeral Home in the Hayden Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hart, a homemaker, was born in Goodrich, N.D. She died Tuesday at LaCrosse Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coeur d’Alene.
She married Lynn Hart in 1937 in Palouse, Wash., and they moved to Mullan that year. They lived in Mullan until his retirement in 1978. He died in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Wally Hart of Bayview, Idaho, and Gary Hart of Alberton, Mont.; a sister, Loraine Wilkinson of Washington; three grandchildren, Steven Hart of Sandpoint, Rich Hart of Goleta, Calif., and Frank Hart of Alberton, Idaho; and four great-grandchildren.
Florence (Fisher) Wolf North Bend, Ore.
Graveside service for Florence Nioma (Fisher) Wolf, 83, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Farmington (Wash.) Community Cemetery. Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Klamath Falls, Ore., is in charge of arrangements.
A longtime former Farmington resident, Mrs. Wolf died Saturday. She was born in Belmont, Wash.
She graduated as a registered nurse from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1936.
Mrs. Wolf served in the Navy as a registered nurse during World War II, and after the war was a homemaker.
She moved to North Bend three years ago.
Mrs. Wolf was a member of Colfax (Wash.) Peace Lutheran Church.
Her husbands, John Eichman and George Wolf, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Joanne James of North Bend; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church Organ Fund, Colfax Peace Lutheran Church or to Habitat for Humanity.
Albert `Roscoe’ Culp Anchorage, Alaska
Memorial service for Albert “Roscoe” Culp, 54, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Elk Community Church. Bonnie Watson Funeral Home in Seattle is in charge of arrangements.
A former Elk resident, Mr. Culp died Saturday. He was born in Spokane.
He had lived in Anchorage for the past 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine; two sons, Brian Culp of Missoula and John Culp of Anchorage; a stepdaughter, Amy Betsinger of Anchorage; three brothers, David Culp of Spokane, Don Culp of Mead and Dan Culp of Chattaroy; three sisters, Judy White of Deer Park, Diana Griffith of Chattaroy and June Rognerud of Portland; and five grandchildren.
Robert Rickman Colburn, Idaho
Service for Robert L. “Bob” Rickman, 54, will be at 1 p.m. today at Coffelt Funeral Chapel in Sandpoint. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Rickman, who was born in Sandpoint, died Sunday.
He graduated from high school in 1964. He worked as a meat cutter for seven years before becoming a logger.
He married Diane Mayo in 1982.
Mr. Rickman owned and operated the Bobcat Logging Co., and logged in Sandpoint and Priest River, Idaho.
He was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; six brothers, Gayle and Kevin Rickman, both of Sandpoint, Marvin Rickman of Sunnyside, Wash., Roderick Rickman of Chandler, Ariz., Conrad Rickman of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Dean Rickman of Deadwood, S.D.; and three sisters, Norma Holt of Sandpoint, Geraldine Hankel of Deer Park and Margie Woods of Brandon, Fla.
Kenneth Liams Rathdrum, Idaho
Memorial service for Kenneth E. Liams, 72, will begin at 11 a.m. today at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden. A reception will follow.
Mr. Liams, who was born in Britt, Iowa, died Monday at Kootenai Medical Center, Coeur d’Alene.
He grew up in Missouri and served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Liams married Frieda in 1952 in California.
He was a long-haul truck driver for many years.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gerald Liams of Watonga, Okla., Michael Liams of Post Falls and Steve Liams of Glendora, Calif.; a daughter, Linda Smyda of Denton, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Emogene Ramsey Spokane
Private services were held for Emogene Ramsey, 103. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ramsey, who was born in Kandiyohi, Minn., died Monday.
She was an 83-year Spokane resident and worked as the executive secretary for Sears.
Survivors include a son, Ray Ramsey of Mercer Island, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Lillian Corisis Spokane
Graveside service for Lillian I. Corisis, 82, will be at 1 p.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Corisis, who was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., died Monday.
She moved to Spokane in 1928 and worked as a sales clerk at Lubin’s Apparel.
Survivors include a sister, Georgia Watts of Spokane; and a brother, Sam Corisis of Spokane.
Jane (Hawes) Poston Sequim, Wash.
Private memorial service will be held on Dec. 5 for Jane H. (Hawes) Poston, 94. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane. Sequim Valley Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Poston, who was born in Los Angeles, died Nov. 8.
She moved to Spokane at the age of 5.
Mrs. Poston managed the Greenough’s IGA Supermarket during World War II.
She moved to Sequim in 1995.
Mrs. Poston was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist and the Spokane Junior League.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Franklin Greenough, Richard Reekie and Gordon Poston.
Survivors include two sons, W. Peyton and Franklin Greenough, both of Sequim; a daughter, Carolyn Gengelbach of Spokane; seven grandchildren and seven great-granddaughters.
Ann `Lizzy’ McManus Spokane
Funeral Mass for Ann Elizabeth “Lizzy” McManus, 107, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 90-year Spokane resident, Miss McManus died Monday. She was born in Fergus Falls, Minn.
She worked for the telephone company, the Hutton Settlement and as a cook for various nursing homes in Spokane.
Miss McManus was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish and altar society.
Survivors include a niece, Kathryn Chica, and a nephew, Emmett Shearer, both of Spokane.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
Norman `Ed’ Murray Tekoa, Wash.
No services will be held for Norman Edward “Ed” Murray, 60. Kramer Funeral Home in Tekoa is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Murray, who was born in Philadelphia, died Saturday.
He moved to Whitman County in the 1970s from California, where he worked in landscaping.
Mr. Murray farmed in Farmington, Wash., and served on the Farmington City Council for two years.
He moved to Tekoa in 1988 and worked in the street maintenance department for the City of Tekoa.
He was most recently working at the Dumas Grass Seed Co. in Tekoa.
He is survived by his niece, Sheila Fisher of Genesee, Idaho.
