Theodore Day Post Falls
Funeral for Theodore J. “Ted” Day, 72, will be at 10 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Day, who was born in San Francisco died Tuesday.
He had lived in Spokane for 30 years and moved to Post Falls 19 years ago.
Mr. Day worked as a groundskeeper for the Lakeland School District and later for 30 years at Kaiser Aluminum in Trentwood.
He was a member of the Valley Open Bible Church.
Survivors include three sons, Ted, Tony and Trevor Day; a daughter, Tyana Cuddy; a brother, Roger Day; seven sisters, Alice Rodgers, Dorthy Gamble, Virginia Bennet, Donna Conklin, Myrtle Belton, Charlotte Thompson and Margret Sieger; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Donald Prichard Jr. Spokane
Service for Donald Lee Prichard Jr., 38, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5322 N. Evergreen. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Prichard died Tuesday from complications of a kidney transplant.
Mr. Prichard graduated from West Valley High School in 1979, and married Cynthia Wilson in 1989.
He worked in shipping at Inland Wood Specialties for eight years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15th Ward.
Mr Prichard’s survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald and Matthew Prichard, and three daughters, Renee, Jerilyn and Suzanna Prichard, all of Spokane; his parents, Donald and Laura Prichard of Spokane; and a sister, Laurie Prichard.
Florence Davis Coeur d’Alene
Service for Florence E. Davis, 89, will be held today at 10 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow in Craigmont, Idaho.
Mrs. Davis, who was born in Ilo, Idaho, died Thursday.
She had lived in the Asotin, Wash., and Lewiston area and was a homemaker before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1952.
Mrs. Davis had worked as a transplanter at the Forest Service nursery in Coeur d’Alene.
She was a member of the Coeur d’Alene First Presbyterian Church and was also active with the Mica Flats Grange, the Rebekah Lodge, local 4-H, the Extension and Happy Family Club and the community choir.
Mrs. Davis had also been a Cub Scout den mother.
Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Milward of Chattaroy and Carol Davis of Colorado; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothea `Dorrie’ Blain Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothea “Dorrie” Blain, 92, will be at 11 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral HomeSouth. Inurnment will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Blain, who was born in Haverhill, Mass., died Thursday.
She moved to Spokane with her family when she was 10, and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.
She married Lorne Blain and was a homemaker.
Her husband died in 1986.
Survivors include three sons, Harold Blain of Moscow, Idaho, Ken Blain of Seattle and Jack Blain of Rochester, Wash.; a sister, Barbara Fleming of Seattle; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
Constance `Connie’ Pruitt Spokane
Funeral Mass for Constance “Connie” Pruitt, 76, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 40-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Pruitt died Tuesday. She was born in Spokane.
She worked as a floral designer and started Floral Service International in 1977 and retired in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Dillon of Spokane and Roger Dillon of Clayton, Wash.; two brothers, Al and Lester Rogers; three sisters, Concette Greenleaf, Josephine Rogers and Lillian Patrick; and two grandchildren.
Albert Cummins Spokane
Memorial service for Albert M. Cummins, 71, will be at 3 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
A lifetime Spokane area resident, Mr. Cummins died Wednesday. He was born in Valleyford.
He worked as a network technician for AT&T and Pacific Northwest Bell for 37 years and was a member of the Manito Masonic Lodge and the Telephone Pioneers.
Survivors include his wife, Marty; a son, Jim Cummins; four daughters, Kathi Lazo, Linda Young, Brenda Cronkhite and Barbara Galloway; a sister, Ada Lyon; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Donald Conley Spokane
Memorial service for Donald P. “Don” Conley, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Conley died Tuesday.
He graduated from Kinman Business University and worked as a gardener for the Spokane Parks Department. He was a member of the Spokane Christian Center.
Survivors include his wife, Fern; a son, Randy Wiebers of Edmonds, Wash.; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Ervin Dingman Sandpoint
Service for Ervin John Dingman, 72, will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Sandpoint First Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint.
Mr. Dingman, who was born in Brainerd, Minn., died Wednesday.
He grew up and attended school in Brainerd and served with the Army in the Europe during World War II and also served during the Korean War.
Mr. Dingman settled in Kellogg after his military service and worked in local mines.
He married Doris Dockter in 1952, and they moved to Sandpoint in 1953. He worked in various local sawmills and retired as a kiln operator from Pack River Lumber Co.
Mr. Dingman was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Local Woodworkers Union, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lakeside Masonic Lodge No. 42 and the Sandpoint Eagles.
He was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood drive and participated in numerous veterans activities.
Survivors include his wife; six children, Debra Halcro of Texas, Penny Dingman of Kennewick, Wanda Roberts, Sandra Rasor and Douglas Dingman, all of Sandpoint, and Gary Dingman of Aberdeen, Wash.; a brother, Edwin Dingman of Kellogg; seven sisters, Deloris Ellis and Doris Maessen, both of Seattle, Shirley Hand, Valarie Race, Darlene Burgstaler and Lavone Fox, all of Minnesota, and Priscilla DeCent of Wyoming; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
