S-R Offering Workshop On Coverage

Over the past few years, The Spokesman-Review has made an effort to place more focus on religion and spirituality.

We’d like to get your ideas and feedback and make it easier for you to get information for the Faith & Values page to us. So we’re inviting anyone interested to a workshop on Nov. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at The Spokesman-Review, 999 W. Riverside.

The workshop will include discussions on how the newspaper works; how to write an effective news release about community and church events; getting your voice heard in the media; what to do when bad news strikes; and how news decisions are made.

Also, a panel of clergy and lay people will talk about good and bad experiences with the media.

The workshop is free, but we do need reservations because space is limited. Please RSVP to Tina Carey at (509) 459-5485 or by e-mail to tinac@spokesman.com The workshop is a repeat of one held in May. If you were on the waiting list for that workshop and haven’t yet been reached about this one, please contact Tina Carey.
