Benewah County St. Maries

Students, bands and choirs in the St. Maries School District will perform fall concerts in November. St. Maries Middle School band and choir will perform Nov. 2 and the high school band and choir will perform Nov. 4. Both concerts will begin at 7 p.m. at the Heyburn gym.

Bonner County Priest River

The Priest River City Council will sponsor a workshop on the building fee schedule at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The workshop is the result of a protest by a resident of the fee she was charged for an addition to her home. A special meeting on employee pay grade status relative to the annual increase will follow the workshop.

Boundary County Bonners Ferry

The Bonners Ferry Kiwanis Club meets Mondays at noon at Maiers Family Restaurant. The group is devoted to the principle of service, the advancement of individual, community and national welfare, and to strengthening international goodwill. For information, contact Skip O’Fallon at (208) 267-2929.

Kootenai County Coeur d’Alene

Kootenai Medical Center will offer a new selection of yoga classes in November. Classes will include gentle yoga, an eight-week course, beginning Nov. 10. A Level I introduction to yoga class also begins Nov. 10. Both classes are held Wednesdays. Another Level I vigorous class and a Level II Yoga class begin Nov. 8 and will run Mondays for eight weeks. Latah County Moscow

Latah County commissioners have affirmed a zoning commission decision to deny a conditional use permit to build a shooting range. Latah County Sheriff Jeff Crouch appealed the zoning commission’s decision to deny the permit to build a law enforcement training facility between Troy and Deary. The zoning commission ruled Sept. 1 the facility would have an adverse impact on neighbors. Commissioners considered the written decision and recordings of two zoning commission meetings, which included public testimony.

Shoshone County Kellogg

A lawyer from Idaho Legal Aid Services will be in Kellogg Nov. 1 to meet with low-income Shoshone County residents with legal problems or questions. Legal Aid lawyers from the Coeur d’Alene office provide free legal help. To schedule an appointment, call the food bank at (208) 783-4901.

Pend Oreille County Usk

The boil water order for the Camelot water system has been lifted. Water tests in September showed no coliform bacteria. Most residents in this area have been boiling water since last spring. While many believe their water and sewer systems to be top notch, at least one family has complained. Officials say the problem is under control.

MONTANA

Lincoln County Troy

Levi Guinard, 21, was sentenced to probation Oct. 18 for his role in a pair of burglaries last spring. Guinard received a three-year deferred sentence after he pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary by accountability. He and two other individuals were accused of stealing electronic equipment, firearms and a 1990 Buick LeSabre from two residences last May.
