Reformation Service

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and St. Augustine’s and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic churches will conduct a reformation service at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark’s, 24th and Grand Boulevard.

The Rev. Martin Wells, bishop of Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, will preside over the event, a celebration of Sunday’s signing in Germany of a joint declaration between Roman Catholic and Lutheran denominations.

The public is welcome.

Fall Vocal Festival

Gonzaga University will host its Fall Vocal Festival at 4 p.m. today in Hughes Auditorium on the GU campus.

“Voices of Praise” will feature the GU choir and Angels with Attitudes, a local group of young gospel singers. Admission is $1 or a can of food for the Spokane Food Bank.

Fund-raising banquet

Lutheran Social Services’ annual banquet will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7 at Mukogawa Fort Wright. The fund-raiser will include testimonies. Cost is $15; Call 343-5021 for tickets.

Weldon concert

Singer Joel Weldon will perform in concert Sunday at 7 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 2215 N. Seventh in Coeur d’Alene. There is no charge; all are welcome.
