Gonzaga Ranked 20Th In Poll

Following a 2-2 tie at home with then 11th-ranked University of Washington and a 3-2 victory at then sixth-ranked University of Virginia, the Gonzaga Bulldogs find themselves as high as 20th in this week’s national soccer polls.

The Bulldogs, 1-1-1 for the season following a 2-1 loss to American University and the win over Virginia in the Coca-Cola Classic hosted by the Cavaliers last weekend, are 20th in this week’s Soccer America Top 20, 25th in the SoccerTimes Top 25 and received votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25.

In addition, the Bulldogs are tied for sixth in this week’s NSCAA Far West Region rankings. UCLA tops all three national polls, as well as the Far West Region rankings. The most aggressive schedule in school history finds the Bulldogs facing seventhranked Stanford University Friday in the first round of the Fresno State Tournament.
