Man Arrested After Four-Hour Standoff

Douglas County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Saturday night after a four-hour standoff with authorities.

The man was holed up in a house in East Wenatchee and fired dozens of rounds from a firearm. Most of the shots are thought to have been directed into the ground, according to a dispatcher.

Around 11 p.m., tear gas was used to force the man out of the dwelling. No one was injured during the standoff. No further information was available Sunday.
