District Approves Emergency Levy

The Plummer/Worley School District has approved an emergency levy for $81,605 for the 1999-2000 school year.

The levy translates to an additional $14 in taxes a year for the owner of a home with a taxable value of $50,000.

Attendance in the district has increased by 18 students - mostly elementary level - over last year. Additional supplies are needed for those students. The money also will be used to hire aides for special needs students and buy a wheelchair-equipped bus.
