Light Flight

Large lanterns shaped like bees adorned Singapore’s Lantern Festival in the city’s Chinese gardens. The annual festival is held in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn festival honoring Shinese patriot Shu Yuan Zhang, who plotted against the tyrannical rule of the Yuan dynasty in the 14th century by sending out secret plans hidden in mooncakes. Traditionally, mooncakes were given as gifts while children lit lanterns for an evening get together.
