Violet Dobberthien Auburn, Wash.
Graveside service for Violet M. Dobberthien, a former 30-year Spokane resident, will be at 11 a.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dobberthien, who died Tuesday, was born in Ruby, Wis. She was 87.
In 1934 she married Charles David. He died in 1939. She married Stanley Dobberthien in 1943. he died in 1978.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church.
Mrs. Dobberthien recently moved to Auburn.
Survivors include two sons, Jay Dobberthien of Kent, Wash., and John Dobberthien of Eugene, Ore.; two daughters, Patricia Truman of Sumner, Wash., and Susan Adams of Meridian, Idaho; a brother, Herman Baker of Coeur d’Alene; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Warner `Jack’ Green Spokane
Graveside service for Warner “Jack” Green, 84, was held Friday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 53-year Spokane resident, Mr. Green died Tuesday. He was born in Makey, Mo.
He served in the Air Force during World War II. Mr. Green was a steelworker at Brown Trailer Co. for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia; a daughter, Barbara Thompson; brothers and sisters in Missouri; and a grandson.
Erma Hudlow Spokane
Service for Erma Viola Hudlow will be at 2 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hudlow, 87, died Thursday.
She was born in Ritzville, Wash., and came to Spokane as an infant. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, T.L. Hudlow, died in 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Scott, and a sister, Frances Tonhofer, both of Spokane; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Floyd Acree Spokane
Service for Floyd E. Acree, 87, will be at 6 p.m. today at Northside Church of Christ. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Acree, who died Tuesday, was born in Linneus, Mo.
He graduated from Northeastern Missouri State Teacher’s College and taught school in Missouri for a few years until joining the Navy. He served during World War II and the Korean War.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mr. Acree later earned a master’s degree from Eastern Washington University. He was a music teacher at Libby and Glover middle schools. After retiring, he directed the Senior Citizens Orchestra and the Project Joy Chorus.
He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
His wife of 61 years, Hilda McGrown Acree, died in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Charles Acree of Tacoma; a daughter, Judy Short of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Penelope (Rice) O’Donnell Spokane
Vigil service for Penelope Ann “Penny” (Rice) O’Donnell, 51, will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. O’Donnell died Wednesday.
She graduated from Holy Names Academy and later received a degree in social work..
She was a homemaker and volunteered with Depoires Manor League, St. Anne’s Children’s Home and the Junior League of Spokane. Mrs. O’Donnell was a member of Wampum and served on the board of directors.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Mike; a son, Chad O’Donnell, and a daughter, Shannon Knight, both of Spokane.
Angelo Perry Spokane
Vigil service for Angelo Perry, 77, will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at HennesseySmith Funeral Home. Service is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
Mr. Perry, who was born in Italy, died Monday.
He served in the Army during World War II. He was a 57-year Spokane resident and was a Steelworker.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
His wife, Lola Perry, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, John Perry of Spokane; his stepmother, Josephine Perry of Spokane; a brother, Carl Perry, and a sister, Virginia Joslin, both of Spokane; a stepsister, Mona Hied of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Hubert Garcia Jr. Spokane
Memorial service for Hubert A. Garcia Jr., 39, will be at 1 p.m. today at Valley Open Bible Church. Burial was at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 20-year Spokane resident, Mr. Garcia died Tuesday. He was born in Santa Monica, Calif.
He worked as a salesman in the automotive industry.
Survivors include his wife, Leisa; a son, Manuel Garcia, and two daughters, Camilla and Kristina Garcia, all at home; his parents, Helen and Hubert Sr. Garcia, and his grandmother, Caroline Welk, all of Spokane.
Mildred (Gasaway) Field Otis Orchards
Memorial service for Mildred May (Gasaway) Field will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Valley Open Bible Church. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 39-year Otis Orchards resident, Mrs. Field died Wednesday. She was 82. She was born in Waitsburg, Wash., and graduated from Waitsburg High School.
In 1937 she married Charles Field.
Mrs. Field was a homemaker and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Amaranth and Valley Open Bible Church.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Field of Veradale and Dick Field of Bridgeport, Wash.; a brother, Alvis Gasaway of Dayton, Wash.; a sister, June Stephens of Roy, Utah; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane or Shriners Hospital for Children.
Richard Bacon Republic, Wash.
Service for Richard A. “Dick” Bacon, 43, will be at 11 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Republic. Burial will follow at Republic Cemetery. Bergh Funeral Service in Republic is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bacon died Wednesday.
He was born in Republic and graduated from high school there in 1974.
Mr. Bacon worked in the mining industry as a hoistman, miner, jumbo operator and electrician.
He is survived by his mother, Nellie Bacon of Republic; five brothers, Ron Bacon of Spokane, Joe Bacon of Oro Grande, Calif. and Francis, Ed and Dan Bacon, all of Republic; five sisters, Barbara Johnson and Christina, both of Spokane, Doris of Republic, Laura of Coulee Dam, Wash., and Marie Harris of Pasco.
Everett McDaniel Hunters, Wash.
No service will be held for Everett Ellis McDaniel, 49. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Monroe, Ga., Mr. McDaniel died Sept. 17.
His family moved to Spokane when he was a child. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in pipeline construction.
Mr. McDaniel moved to Hunters in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a son, Scott McDaniel of Newport, Wash.; a daughter, April Hurst of Oldtown, Idaho; a stepson, PJ Wilkes of Wasilla, Alaska; two stepdaughters, Quest Richard of Spokane and Tanya Rodabah of Kalispell, Mont.; his parents, Ellis and Joyce McDaniel of Spokane; a brother, Bobby McDaniel of Moscow, Idaho; two sisters, Sara Knott and Mary McDaniel, both of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
Rodric `Blackie’ Davis Kellogg
No service will be held for Rodric W. “Blackie” Davis, 86. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis, who was born in Colville, Wash., died Wednesday.
He was a longtime North Idaho resident.
Survivors include a son, Rod Davis of Silverton, Idaho; and a sister, Phyllis Crockett of Deer Park.
Willva `Billie’ Roberts Medical Lake
Graveside service for Willva “Billie” Roberts, 79, was held Sept. 17 at the Waverly (Wash.) Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts, a homemaker, died Sept. 9. She was born in Lewiston, Mich.
She was an 11-year resident of Medical Lake and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cheney.
Her husband preceded her in death Mrs. Roberts is survived by two daughters, Uriana Moddie of Spokane and Tam Dudley of Medical Lake; four stepdaughters, Joy WalkerZundell of Vancouver, Wash., Cass Roberts of Hope, Idaho, Lynn Hill of Temple Hills, Md., and Patty Fuchs of Fort Charlotte, Fla.; a brother, Ted Thorsen of Seattle; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
