Christopher Flerchinger Earns Commendation

Marine Pfc. Christopher Flerchinger received a Certificate of Commendation for superior performance of duty, dedication and initiative while assigned with Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar, San Diego.

Flerchinger, son of Jack Flerchinger, St. Maries, is a 1998 graduate of St. Maries High School.

Coeur d’Alene residents Erin A. Johnson, Jennifer A. Kildow, and Carol L. Muzik, were named to the Laureate Society for spring semester 1999 at Whitworth College in Spokane.

Students who maintain a minimum 3.75 gradepoint average qualify for the honor.

Army Spec. Richard P. Munoz, son of Donna Dolan of Coeur d’Alene, recently completed a temporary assignment at the Army recruiting station in Coeur d’Alene after attending eight weeks of advanced individual training.

Munoz, a 1996 graduate of Project Coeur d’Alene, is a financial specialist.

Christina Kirkland was commissioned as an Army second lieutenant through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program after graduating with a degree from the University of Idaho.

Kirkland, a 1989 graduate of Curlew (Wash.) High School, is the daughter of Carol Harris, Medical Lake, and Donald Harris, Winchester, Idaho.
