Samantha Marie Marx exchanged wedding vows with Robert Sutton Nixon in an Aug. 18 ceremony at Gretna Green Chapel.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas Marx and Connie Marx, both of Spokane. Gerry Nixon, Spokane, and Sherrie Nixon, Nogales, Ariz., are parents of the groom.

A reception at the Center Pointe Facility followed the ceremony. The couple are living in Spokane after a honeymoon in Disneyland.

The bride is a student in Eastern Washington University’s master’s program in speech-language pathology and the groom is an insurance agent.
