2 North Division Stores Robbed Thursday Night

Two North Side businesses were robbed Thursday night within a few minutes of each other.

A man walked into Sparky’s Firehouse Subs at 9328 N. Division at 8:35 p.m. He ordered the clerk to give him money, stuffed it into his pocket and ran out the back door, according to Spokane police.

The man was white, in his 20s, about 5-foot-9, 160 pounds and was wearing a black leather jacket with multiple zippers, and knitted cap. He did not display a weapon.

At 8:45 p.m. a man walked into Walgreen’s Express at 2703 N. Division. He demanded drugs, took five bottles and left through the front door. He was described as white, 18 to 20 years old, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, with brown hair. He was wearing a Raiders jacket, a black cap, black pants and a black cloth over his face.

The man said he had a gun but none was seen.
