Twain’S Third Best Seller
Country crossover superstar Shania Twain’s third album, “Come on Over,” has become the best-selling album ever by a female solo artist.
The album’s certified U.S. sales of 17 million copies surpass those of Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill,” according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
Twain’s previous release, “The Woman in Me,” was certified at 11 million. Only one other female artist - Mariah Carey - has sold more than 10 million copies of two consecutive studio albums.
