Miggins Will Report On His First 45 Days

The Spokane City Council will hear a report on City Manager Hank Miggins’ first 45 days on the job when it meets Monday.

Miggins started work Feb. 22.

Since taking office, Miggins said he has tried to meet with as many city officials and employees, and visited as many city facilities, as possible.

Monday he will list some of the issues he feels the city should address.

The City Council meets at 3:30 p.m. for a briefing session and at 6 p.m. for its regular meeting in the Council Chambers in City Hall. The meetings are televised live on City Cable 5.

On the agenda Monday are budget items deferred from last week’s meeting, when three council members were absent. The council needs at least five members present to vote on emergency budget ordinances.

Also, the council will hold a hearing on stormwater management for the Glenrose/Moran Prairie/Central park drainage area.
