Speakers Will Discuss Biotechnology Issues
Biotechnology is the focus of the Spokane Area Economic Development Council’s Spring Recruitment Rally, scheduled for Thursday.
Featured speakers include the leaders of two local biotech companies, who will share their views of the industry’s future in the Inland Northwest.
Peter Allison, president of Bio-Genetic Ventures, will discuss “The ABC’s of the Biotech Industry” and Joanna Ellington, president of Advanced Reproduction Technologies, will discuss “Biotech Activities in the Region.”
EDC President Mark Turner calls the rally “an opportunity for the business community to learn more about industries Spokane is targeting for recruitment.”
The program, free and open to the public, runs from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Deaconess Health Education Center, 910 W. Fifth. Reservations are required. Call 624-9285 for information or reservations.
