Skywatching

After appearing together in the evening sky for several months, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are making their closest approach to each other this month.

Mars is distinctly more reddish than either of the other planets.

During the second half of April, Jupiter and Saturn will sink lower into the sunset’s glare each night, and they will become increasingly difficult to find.

Full moon this month occurs Tuesday.
