James and Artye Lee Scott celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 1 with a gathering at Indian Trail Community Church.

Hosts for the event were their children and their spouses: Shirley Johnson, Bellevue; Brad and Jan Scott, and Philip and Carolyn Colyar, all of Spokane; Kristine Taylor, Coeur d’Alene; and Cameron and Kathleen Mitchum, Mead.

The Scotts were married April 1, 1950, in Missoula. They have 14 grandchildren.
