Blue Chip Stocks Continue To Climb

Blue chip stocks rose Tuesday amid growing optimism that interest rates will remain stable, but technology issues declined slightly on profittaking after Monday’s big advance.

The Dow Jones industrial average, which gained 99 points Monday, closed up 109.88 at 10,976.89, the blue chips’ seventh straight winning session.
