Longtime Moscow attorney Linda Pall, the Democratic candidate running for Idaho’s 1st Congressional District seat, will leave today to join the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles.

Pall, who made her decision to run exactly a year ago today, said she hopes to rally with the Idaho delegates.

“The State Democratic Party said they want our star candidate down there,” Pall said of herself. “They said, `We want you to meet and greet people and show you off.’ So, I will be staying with the Idaho delegation in the Metropolitan Motel in Hollywood.”

Pall, who is Jewish, was excited about Vice President Al Gore’s choice of Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn, as a choice for a running mate.

“I think it just enhances the opportunity to include good people of all faiths in the political life of this country,” she said.

Pall will face Republican Butch Otter in the Nov. 7 election.
