Spiritual Leader

Rev. Paul Rodkey, pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church, 301 S. Freya.

Background: Rodkey has served part time at Bethany for 13 years. He also has served as the Eastern Washington University campus pastor for the past five years, keeping an office in the basement of Cheney Christian Church, where he works two days a week.

Rodkey is a Spokane native and a 1970 graduate of Shadle Park High School. He graduated from Whitworth College in 1974 and completed his master of divinity degree at San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1982.

He served a church near Fresno, Calif., for five years before making the move back to Spokane.

Personal: Rodkey and his wife, Kerri, have been married 2 months. She works in the Washington state office of Community, Trade and Economic Development and also volunteers her time on various projects and committees of the Presbyterian Church.
