From Staff Reports

Spokane police arrested two people and found two children in a meth lab in northwest Spokane Friday morning.

Using a search warrant, undercover officers entered 1030 W. Jackson. Police found a methamphetamine lab in the basement of the two-unit apartment building. They found chemicals for making the drug and a quantity of meth in process, according to police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Police arrested Cory Lee Lane, 27, and Leanne J. Lane, 26. They were booked into jail on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance.

Officers found two children, 1 and 2, in the house. They were placed with Child Protective Services.

Cory Lane has three felony convictions - one each for assault, attempting to elude and burglary, according to police.
