Area Teams Win Roundup Titles

Several South Side teams earned championships at last weekend’s Fall Roundup Soccer Tournament.

The 19th annual tournament, hosted by the River City Steelers Soccer Club, attracted 68 boys and girls teams from Montana, Idaho and Washington to the new Plantes Ferry Sports Complex in the Valley.

U-12 boys division

The SCC Falcons defeated the River City Steelers 4-3 to claim first place.

Falcons team members include Stefan Anderson, Nate Bitz, Cameron Bushey, Andy Fucile, Kon Geranios, Patrick O’Neil, Cameron Oriard, Zachary Winters, Dustin Aarestad, Tyler Clifton, Tim Redmon, Devin Merrill, Matt Schneidmiller, Morgan Deshazo, Chad Morton and Spencer Hodapp. The Falcons are coached by Mark Merrill and Stefan Anderson.

U-13 girls division

The Spokane Shadow beat the Breakers 1-0 for the title.

Shadow team members include Teresa Tinkle, Amy White, Sarah Russlell, Chelsea Starkey, Nikki Hart, Anna Hartz, Andrea Leveque, Lesley Beaton, Kati Bronson, Erika Hordbiowski, Sarah Jennings, Anyshia Madison, Jennifer Lenz, Jillian McAndrews, Maggie Yates and Mallory Hamby. The team is coached by Nichole Dauer.

U-14 boys division

The Spokane Shadow defeated the SSC Falcons 6-0 to win the championship.

Shadow team members include Jeff Srock, Steven Woodley, Forrest Orme, Daniel Anderson, Eric Bofencamp, Adam Van Noy, Corey Langill, Joe Cortex, Alex Groth, Steve Settles, Danny McKinnon, Tim Roffler, Keith Kirsch, Drew Hill, Ray Kelly and Tony Huffman. The team is coached by Stuart Rose.

U-14 girls division

The Sabers beat the River City Steelers 4-1 to claim the title.

Sabers team members include Chrissy Smalley, Heather Morford, Erin Gallagher, Ashlee McCaslin, Sarah Waugh, McKinzie Strait, Becky Anderson, Shawna Viren, Alana Quist, Jennia Nicol, Stacey Blodnick, Ashley Nelson, Michelle Hegg and Anna Lahde. The Sabers are coached by Marc McCaslin.

U-15 boys gold division

The River City Steelers beat the Sandpoint Strikers 4-3 to win the championship.

Steelers team members include Dion Trimble, Cody Kendall, Aaron Biel, Peter Stevenson, Chad Thornton, Sam Bachman, Colin Holbrook, Connor Fuhrman, Trevor Cross, Christopher Moe, Adam Clayden, Matthew McDonald, Jake Crowley, Brett Hite, Tyler Stoffel, Pirouz Ganji and Eric Burke. The Steelers are coached by Rich Dougan.

U-15 boys silver division

The Sabers beat the SCC Falcons 5-0 to win the title.

Sabers team members include Adam Gilbrech, Adam Kleckner, Brandon Wendt, Christian Monahan, Devin Beru, Erik Carlson, Evan Tewel, Jason Ferraro, Jon Anderson, Josh Domer, Kris Owens, Lewis Turner, Michael Smalley, Noah Best, Ryan Jordan, Jared Crabtree, Alex Cusick and Josh Morford. The Sabers are coached by Pat Ferraro.

U-16 girls division

The Vision beat the Flames 3-2 to claim first place.

Vision team members include Catherine Skaggs, Elaine Chu, Lindsey Poole, Jennifer Hart, Dara Tisthammer, Kailin Henry, Chelsea Lehn, Carrie Henson, Loren Nay, Jennifer Jewett, Kathleen Blood, Lindsay Whitley, Shera Purcell, Kelsey Lincoln, Kendra Black, Kristin Miller and Laura Heath. The team is coached by Jim Hart.

U-18 girls division

The River City Steelers beat the Sandpoint Strikers 3-0 to win the championship.

Team members include Allison Magney, Courtney Johnson, Allison Henderson, Jennie Summers, Bethany Wert, Kayla Constable, Mira Copeland, Chrissy Wohl, Megan Houck, Dana Brown, Casey Peterson, Jill Severson, Lara Whitley, Amy Solan, Adriane Kehl, Seanna Mullen, Sara York and Stacia King. The Steelers are coached by K.C. Constable.
